Especially for a 1-2 hp on a 400 plus hp car????
Your not gonna get any real world extra power. However I've been using oil filters forever on my boats and in some cars. As long as you don't over oil them they really are fine.....the new 4.0RS has BMC filters....just sayin'!

But if the OEM paper filters are $35 each... And they last a year. I would have to keep my car for the next 6 years to break even on the BMC purchase. So if there's no extra HP to be had, why bother? Especially since the paper ones are a perfect fit and require no cleaning. Just pitch them in the garbage

Don't ever let logic interfere with these decisions
