That is pretty fast! He takes Klostertal (at 4.11) practically flat out! That is impressive...

Very cool! I came here to post it buy DM993tt beat me to it.
Glad they mention extra safety gear as I was wondering how long this Ring testing/publishing/bragging rights would last after someone kills himseld in a stock car.

Surely they threw out the garbage seats form the OEM car although he DOES bounce around in the car pretty good.

Lot's of suspension travel but damn that's fast! Then to know you get 80% of that in a regular corvette for 50K or so and 90% at 80K or so is just impressive.

All they have to do for the new C07 is fix interior, add better track tested calipers, give it a facelift and leave the rest alone..

Actually in Europe there is less than 10k euro difference between a ZR1 and GT3RS...So for that price the interior is quite an issue when you look at the competition!

you've got to admire the no-holds-barred attitude of someone who goes to the pigheaded extreme of registering at a Porsche forum with the username "porsches suck hairy ones" then uses expressions like "ghey" ... "absolutely fabulous!"

As for the ZR1 lap, the time seems to have left money on the table in a couple of lethargic shifts -- he keeps it singing from 5000 to 6500 with remarkable consistency, but a couple of times he lets it bog and costs time, but then again, the prodigious torque of that blown seven liter must be pretty much limitless, so perhaps better to avoid the time of a shift down and another shift back up.

By Vette standards, the car is impressively hooked up and the driver is doing very little to keep it together.

Certainly makes the ZR1 or the 2012 Vette in general (Carbon or Grand Sport) impressive cars. I read the 505 horse Carbon Vette is the same time around Laguna (actually a bit quicker) than the ZR1. If that's your bag, baby, it's not ghey.

Good move Slow! We don't need any a-holes on the forum

I'll watch the video when I get home from work Impressive time though!

So with the safety upgrades is this car actually lighter or heavier than stock? Plus did they keep the tires stock, or change that as well

Video talks about using the stock Michelin Sport Cups... Car seems pretty hooked up and at home on the track. Shame about the interior.
