Get that trailer! We need to get you out of S. Florida and up to Road Atlanta/Barber/RRR!
thanks Lewis, for us was the best decision, now I just need the trailer. One step at a time.

Randy, in this pace I'm going broke pretty soon ... tks for the tip, I talked to Rad yesterday about it. I saw your trailer, the quality and I also heard that is a lot lighter than the featherlite, correct ?

It is a bit lighter......but tows much much easier for some reason

I tow at 80-90 mph with my BMW....trailer is stable. Ive had to hammer the brakes a few times, no probelms

The trailex is more expensive...but worth every penny

The good part is you can buy the base trailer and buy acessories as you can afford them, thats what I did

a bit lighter? I had both the famous Featherlite 3110 (20' model) and now the trailex. The CT-8045 is almost 500 lbs lighter.

The Featherlite 3110 is still light (1,440 lbs on my former 2007 trailer), but you can feel that it creates more drag, and you know it is behind your small SUV. The CT-8045, well you don't know it is behind the SUV unless there is a car on top. Even with a 3,000+ lbs car on top, my SUV moves on the highway as stable as any sport sedan. This is by far my best open trailer experience.

The doors in the Fiat are pretty low, so I could not open them with the 3110 even with the fenders removed, the CT-8045 allows me to open then doors as they clear the fenders with 2" of extra clearance, despite of the car being lower than ever.

I tow with a 2009 Touareg with the TDI 3.0 motor and a Trailex 7541 - no drama. But with the tire rack filled to capacity with 8 big tires, the mileage is awful - 13-14 mpg at best. I'm sure the V-nose enclosed trailer is better but that difference is huge. What mileage are others getting with my rig or similar?
