The 3 is gone, I'll be driving my wife's 135 cabrio and she has the Touareg for a daily. She commutes at least 60 miles a day. Her 135 has 7 months and 16k miles.

Very happy so far.

thank you

Congrats! Very nice choice. I have the same exact color combo on my '11 TDI. Drives like a tall luxury sedan but can tow like a champ. I've managed up to 30mpgs on the highway going the speed limit, only slightly less when not. With 6000 lbs of trailex, GT3, extra wheels, and tools in tow, it gets around 19mpg. Love how the small turbodiesel can pull so effortlessly while remaining relatively fuel efficient.

Here's my rig:

Those Deisel Touareg's are very nice. I'd love one of these as my daily. I'm trying to trade in my Mini Cooper S and considered one of these but they are hard to find and no deals going on them. I looked at the Audi Q7 TDI too.

I'm going through dailey driver h*ll right now. Went to go get a Ford Edge today, trade in the Mini but to get the good stereo and HID lights you have to get all these packages of stuff I could care less about and I could not bring myself to spend $42k on a Ford Edge! The Ford Explorer was even more expensive. I went back over to VW to check out the little Tiguan but it is just too little. I just need something to haul my drums and luggage and some track tires now and then....but a Touareg would be perfect but they are expensive.

Yours looks awesome....love the interior!

The mpgs are definitely better than what the EPA estimates on the sticker suggests (unlike gas engines). It will also get better after a few thousand miles, and from what I've been hearing about the VAG 3.0TDI from long term T-reg2 and Q7 owners, it gets even better after several 10k miles of use. Out of curiosity, I dusted off the ancient Gtechpro and did 1k and 5k mile 0-60 runs on the TDI. The results: 1k miles 7.2s, 5k miles 6.9s. In a few years, it'll smoke the GT3!!

Those things are perfect for towing and getting great gas mileage. I've heard the towing capacity is around 7700lbs

Mike,

Monday I went to Audi, Mercedes and VW, the Touareg was the only choice, let me know, because the dealer next to my place brought the car in form georgia in 1 day, and I only closed the deal Today at 8pm, I didn't even pay for them to bring the car in. The price is right, they paid a fair price for my 335i. My sales man can get you another one, with same color combo and options in 1 day (they had another one).
And trust me they don't last. I got really jealous, almost traded the 135 for another one, but I would be upside down as the 135 is only 7 months old.

Congrats on the new ride. I saw one of these at a recent DE at CMP. Fit and finish were were well executed and the towing capacity/mpg combo sure seems hard to beat. Pretty sure we'll be picking one up just as soon as we get out of our MDX lease.

Get that trailer! We need to get you out of S. Florida and up to Road Atlanta/Barber/RRR!
