Default Buying GT2 Seats

I am on the cusp of buying a set of GT2 seats for my 2007 GT3. I know this is a topic that has been discussed ad nauseam, but I want to layout my options for third party review:

1) Buy them from the dealer: ~$7000
Pros: Local, easy
Cons: $200 more than Suncoast, can only get the leather option

2) Buy them from Suncoast: ~$6795
Pros: $200 less than dealer, $1300 less than Carnewal
Cons: They have alcantara inserts, but cost $3,300

3) Carnewal - ~$8000 + ?import duties/tariffs?
Pros: Can get leather/alcantara which is exactly what I want,
Cons: In Belgium, wait ~20 days, could be difficulty with importing stuff which I have never done

4) Dealer/Suncoast with Alcantara inserts from Alpha Bedding
Pros: Saves a ton of money, get GT3 embroidered on seat cushions
Cons: Reports that fit is not as good as factory option

I appreciate any feedback. Specifically, would love to hear from anyone who has imported stuff from Carnewal before who has any advice.

Thanks,
Bobby

You will definitely have to pay duty on anything you buy from Carnewal. Europipe too, as they're both in Belgium. I had to pay duty each time I bought from these companies. The duty on the seats will probably be a considerable sum. If I were you I'd ask Carnewal how much the duty will be in advance, and then make your decision.

Option 5, Watch for a set of used GT2 seats. I sold a near perfect set for $4800 a few months ago. Check other forums.

Believe it or not option 5 does happen so don't dismiss it. I was at a DE last week and struck up a conversation with a fellow GT3 owner about PCCB's and he casually mentioned that he had a Cayman R that he had just purchased and was prepping for track duty. He had gutted the interior and was going to sell off all the parts... I didn't think too much about it but then realized that those cars can come with the Sport Buckets. Sure enough he had them and was getting rid of them (they are now safely installed in my car). The bonus was free shipping on them (he owns a trucking company).

There's a thread on here about it too, and I reached out to him already, he's looking for $8,000 and I'm a few thousand miles away so I think that was a deal breaker.

Also, I would like to keep my stock seats for when I sell the car and someday upgrade to GT3RS 5.0L

Just buy the leather. They dont hold sweat smell and are easy to clean.

Worry more about getting proper harness/bar and alignment to make the most out of the seats.

I have the RSS 930 bar, and I will visit chiropractor before I sit in the new seats!

I love my perlon cloths! Has a certain race seat feel to it...

It also doesn't wear as quick as leather and cheaper I don't smell anything funny so far...
