Anyway, back to original question. Here are the changes required as I understand to convert a 3.8 to 4.0:
RSR crankshaft
New rods
New intake manifold
New air intake and filters
ECU reflash
New heads
New cats
New cam adjusters and chain tensioner
Stronger clutch
Curious about whether the last two items show different part numbers from 3.8 versions.

Dive planes
L 997 505 333 96 M7Z ------241EUR
R 997 505 334 96 M7Z -----241EUR
lid 997 512 227 A5 ----6765EUR
wing 997 512 265 A3 ---6096 EUR
you also need the wing's side spoilers
R 997 512 464 90 M7Z ---992EUR
L 997 512 463 90 M7Z ------992EUR
(M7Z at the end of the part numbers stands for gt silver metallic)
The prices are too high.. I think that you can find equally/better functioning aero parts in the aftermarket.
Best,
John
PS. I'll merge this with the 4.0 parts thread.

Thanks Team
greatly appreciated
Just FYI in OZ the dive planes are $590 each plus tax!
I am envious of the options the US based team has
Hope you all made it through Sally's fury ok

Hi Larry
Great tip, in fact headed down that path with a slight variation
Following a post by Savvyboy recently I started putting together a shopping list and managed to come by Tom Frederico who has been terrific at sourcing my goodies list and arranging shipment back to Oz
btw love the Mexico Blue
I will PM you with some questions on your car
