Yes, but it was cheaper to give the CCW's a facelift... should be worth a few seconds per lap!

Paint or powdercoat? Looks pretty good. I have the same wheels in black.

dont, keep them until you sell the .1, put them back in and sell whatever you replaced them with, you will get more money that way.

The only people who buy the std sports seats are those that replaced them with something else, and sold them ... their value is pretty low compared to used 996 CS or Sports Buckets IMHO

Neither. It's rubber! Seriously - spray-on rubber. Peels right off too, so I can go back to the original gun metal finish in about 5 minutes. I'm going to test how well it holds up under track conditions this weekend...

I've thought about trying it out on the car itself too, especially on the rocker panels - just below the factory clear guard in front of the rear wheels. This area takes a real beating. If all goes well at the track this weekend, I'll post results in a new thread.

In the meantime, I've also experimented with this stuff (Plasti-Dip in a spray can) on the spoiler lip. Results are in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/8556043-post27.html

And a better set of photos of using the red plasti-dip on the wheels (black plasti-dip on the center cap):

That's pretty cool, but something tells me that stuff is going to burn off after about 2 sessions on the track if you can peel a whole wheel yourself in 5 minutes.

Yep, it could evaporate, melt and get sprayed all over, disentigrate and fling fragments, bubble... I'm betting that it softens from the heat and attracts track trash like fly paper. If any of those things happen, it will not be worth the cost/effort to re-do for each track day. A positive result for me would be if it lasts through several track days.
