Default GT3 front lip spoiler

Got my new Gt3 and promptly scraped the top of the spoiler on a parking berm - 2 inch x 4 inch looks to have been sanded with 60 grit paper. No rip or tear but it sure looks ugly. Is a repair possible?

Is there a vendor here for parts? I just know the dealer will marinate me with pricing.

Thanks.

Leave it as-is. You ll probably scrape it more while getting used to the ground clearance and size of the car. Replace it within 6 months or sth like that.

My 2 (euro)cents

My first thought was similar. If not repairable I want get another and put it in my spare parts room until I get used to just where it is. Its clearance.

think of them as disposables. (personally i remove the attachment screws so i can install and remove it in seconds as it is a snap on part anyhow)

if you have the 997.1 then consider the CUP splitter. It is way cheaper and super flexi soft plastic.

It is also not uncommon for users to remove the splitter all together.

Im not sure about the 997.2 however?

Where's the best place to get a replacement for the Mk 2?

FVD.us has them, ask for Rhonda. They also have the lower CUP one.
Front spoiler lip GT3 Cup 2010 part# 99750555792 997 505 557 92 $160.12

I did not get it yet because now I can drive in and out of my trailer without having to bend down to rip it off and put it back on.

I used to replace them often with the lower CUP splitter on the MK1, now I rearely scrape with the MK2, but I did already hit a side walk and scratched it.

If found that if you can pretend not to see it, it's much easier on yourself.
Just shake your head left to right and back really fast if you approach your car from the front..

GMG is another place to get these -
another option is to cover the scraped up one with Carbon Fiber film from XPEL. For a street driven car this will look great

I've heard of people sanding these down with very fine sandpaper then spraying with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Satin black paint. Probably worth a try, mine is thrashed, so I'll give it a shot.

Any time I get a scrape mark (and I've gotten many), I just paint over it with flat black paint. It's hard to see that it's been touched up unless you look closely.

I *think* looking at the picture of the cup splitter on FVD that it is the same as the splitter on the RS (I could be wrong) either way $160 is less than the RS splitter from Suncoast ($2xx) ...

despite having front axle lift (which works well btw) I have found that on spirited drives over uneven surfaces (hell even driving downhill in my hood at 25) there are times the spoiler bottoms out ...

thanks to Dr Porsche they had the forsight to have a replaceable part there!
