"White lightning" project - 07 GT3 RS.

Brakes - AP/Wrightwood Racing front rotors and Cup rear ducts
Champion RS61 Magnesium wheels with Hoosier R6 tires
996 Cup transmission/LSD/clutch with sequential shifter
M&M titanium exhaust with BMC air filter and ECU remap
Manthey carbon doors and door panels
Getty carbon hood, Cup rear deck lid/wing and rear bumper
Trunk lining delete
Lightweight battery relocated to the trunk floor
All of this will be done by the time I get to PIR for the Rose Cup next month. Then finally the engine will be converted to a 4.0 stroker with individual throttle bodies.
I’ll take detailed photos of the car in Portland and provide another update then.

Given the high dollar budget, I'd suggest going to better brakes and less unsprung weight. As they say, brakes make the cars go faster.
I'm also curious about the box and shifter setup -- will it have electronics mated to the 4.0 engine and whatever is controlling the individual throttles?

We're still working on some of the details but things are taking shape. To answer some of your questions:
> clubsport roll cage installed has the later style front section with 2 side protection bars for the doors
> 996 Cup gearbox uses a bolt on sequential shifter (www.sequentialshifters.com), no electronics required
> 4.0 specs are still being finalised, decisions on crank, fuel injection and ECU tuning TBC (for a general overview on the fuel injection systems check out www.rothsport-racing.com)
> AP/Wrightwood Racing floating front rotors/hats have been installed, rears are stock for now, pads are Pagid (if necessary calipers will be upgraded as well)
> wheels are awesome, light and look killer on the car (although they are $$$)
Unfortunately, I don't get to see/drive the car that often. Next month when I'm reunited with the car briefly I'll be sure to take plenty of photos and will provide another update.

Mark,
1. This project sounds amazing. The natives will get restless without photos.
2. Gruppe M brake lines may be worth considering. Your car sounds like a project that will be driven hard, and the Gruppe M brake line kit will provide better feel. Upgraded brakes will kick off much more heat, and would be complimented by higher quality lines.
Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks.

It’s been a few months but I got to drive the car again at Road America last weekend. The modifications made since I last drove the car include:
M&M exhaust/BMC air filter/FVD ECU tune
Manthey carbon doors and door panels
Cup deck lid and rear wing
Trunk lining delete with lightweight battery mounted on the floor
Jeff and the guys at Rothsport Racing have done a fantastic job, the car is amazing. Next month I’ll be at Laguna Seca for Rennsport Reunion and I’m hoping by then the 996 Cup gearbox and sequential shifter will be installed. That will only leave the 4.0 stroker on the list…
