Who's ordering an RS 4.0? (Questions on options)

I'd go with the white wheels. It makes the car authentic. If you want silver, they're relatively cheap and easy to procure. I have a spare set. On the track, white can be kept clean with any of the wheel protector chemicals (from Mothers, etc.) But I'd rather shelve the white ones for occasional driving or resale (not likely ... I think this 4.0 is a keeper.) And I'd get a set of lighter wheels for the track (BBS or Champion monobloc) in their default silver ... or get cultish without being faddish and go with a rarely used paint code like Tungsten or Anthracite. Still, ten years from now, I'd want the car with the authentic livery of white with white wheels, red calipers, steel brake rotors. By then, the kids will be asking "so, brakes used to be made out of iron and they'd rust and wear out? Srsly?!"
I would delete A/C too if I lived in Vancouver. Beautiful city. Are all the roads as nice as the Vancouver-Whistler run?

Anyway, with that kind of risk associated with CF bits and Porsche's less than stellar record on standing behind product I'm pulling the CF console. So much for my short-lived daliance in the world of interior bling.

Okay. So thanks to Izzone I did a search on this topic and as always found plenty of info here on Rennlist. This thread is pretty informative:

If you like CF, I would strongly consider it, it is high quality material they put in the cars...afterall how many times will you be lucky enough to spec a 4.0 LE as you want it?

Thanks PJ!
I was going to go with White, but now apparently PTS is available. I've always admired the sheer brashness of the Orange .1RS, but I don't have the cojones to actually go through with an order.
P.S. Nice mods to your RS. Can't wait to get a GT LSD in the RS 4.0

If PTS is an option, would go with Birch Green.

GT3RS Order
Just ordered a GT3RS 4.0 today.
Went with black, black/red interior, silver wheels, lift kit, chrono, nav, sport seats. September delivery. We'll see how it compares to my GT2RS...

I've seen Porsches with yellowed carbon interior bits. I personally live with carbon fiber everyday...my entire left leg is carbon fiber...some parts painted and some parts bare carbon fiber. I've experienced that carbon fiber does tend to turn a little yellowish greenish after years if a UV coating is not good on it and direct sunlight hits the carbon such as in a cars interior.
I like the carbon interior parts but I'm not impressed with Porsche's quality on the expensive parts.
