A good shop that knows these cars is really essential IMHO, when you ask for camber some do go to the extreme sometimes:

I'd go to Midwest Eurosport in Bensenville. They'll set you up with a great alignment and corner balance. Ask for Brian. 630-595-5577.
Go for the corner balance. It makes a difference.
No affiliation, just good experiences.

Flying Toaster's video: I can't see how that guy is going to go more than a few miles before wearing out the edge of the tire - too funny!

S-Car-Go racing in San Rafael does a lot of track prep work and can help you with alignment and such. Rob is a good guy and track junkie.

Run in should be around 500miles as they run these engines in at the factory.[/QUOTE]
Had my first track day today at Laguna.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Got there with 220 miles on the meter. Tried the public streets once last week and gave up to get my miles for the break-in. So it's going to be all track (and the to/from the track drive). Man, I like those Cups! The shifter, which was pretty stiff at the beginning of the day, was precise and much less notchy when I left the track.
I was one of the slower cars on the straights (my excuse
since I shifted at around 4500-5000RPM (mostly at 5000
but turns are wonderful with the DEM's. A few times I hit 6000RPM and that was it. I now have 500 miles on it.
What do you guys that have broken these kind of cars in before think about it?
Is it okay to do the 5000RPM shift (I know Porsche says 4000RPM...) and once in a while go to 6000RPM? Is there's something magic about 4000RPM?
On the track, there's cool down in between the sessions so heat shouldn't be too much of an issue. And when did you guys go full throttle (red line)? At around 1000miles or did you wait until 2000?
I don't think I can wait 'til 2000 miles (per Porsche), which would take me a all spring and summer (I have two tracks within 75 miles and only use the car for the track and thus it's tough to put miles on
.
Thanks in advance for any advice. Horstair.

Another vote for Eurosport in Bensenville- good guys- honest, and do good work. Just had Sharkwerks bypass and painted center console installed there + suspension tuning / alignment / corner balance there last month- couldn't be happier!
