Seems a bit pricey unless it's a no-stories near-perfect car. It's a special car but neither of those things. It's going to take a buyer that just cannot live w/out highlighter green .2rs and this is their only opportunity to get one. The seller isn't crazy to explore for a while if that buyer existed. If it doesn't, he can always drop it to a level that gains interest from a broader audience. He's looking for a 1-of-1 buyer to go with his 1-of-1 car
I don’t think the price was actually listed anywhere. I talked with the agent on the phone to get the initial price. At $220k with the damage on the side, I lost interest. No idea if it can be detailed out or if it needs to be repainted. If it were an easy fix, I’m guessing they would have fixed it. Plus, having to remove original decals to fix the issue and then replace those seems like a real PiTA, even if you cut corners and use a third party to make them. Then if you sell in the future you have a black mark on the car to disclose. Too many headaches. More than I’d want to deal with...
I’m positive it was initially 220 on Autotrader. Neurotic noted it.
Aside from the problems, that’s a turn off for me no matter how rare. I’m in the market....

It was first listed for $220k on auto trader. The agent representing the seller told me on the phone yesterday he raised the price to $230k because of all the calls and interest. I came up with a number that I thought it was worth (to me) more than my grey/black 3RS. That's what I offered. Would love the car in my garage, but it's an object to me that isn't worth overpaying for. My black/grey drives just fine.
My bet is he has either sold it by now or I will get a call in the next week and will be an owner. My offer was very fair considering it isn't a perfect copy.
Interesting back story. The sales agent worked for a Porsche dealer back in 2011 and he said that they specked this car. His boss was pissed when it showed up, but luckily the agent found the current owner and talked him into buying it. The SA would love to buy the car himself but can't afford it. Probably the right guy to represent the sale since he knows everything about it.
Well, despite what others think, I love the colors. I think the green-yellow of the body works fine with the yellow accents. Dunno. Maybe I went color blind looking at pictures of the McDonald’s Ferrari a few years ago...
I’d be all ears to know who that SA currently is/works for and avoid at all costs. There’s such thing as reputation and fiduciary duty. Much like buying a house when acted upon as an agent/buyer or agent/seller depending on the state of residence. After all, this is upper echelon 997.2.....
Seems like he’s willing to risky the reputation for one seller.... ain’t my cup of tea.

Welcome aboard friend, this place is full of some of the most knowledgable Porsche people in the world. They pretty much taught me all I know and are still teaching me daily. At the risk of embarrassing Josh he is one of the finest sports car photographers out there, his resume is legit. I'll let him take it from here if he chooses...
