If I go racing in the near term it will be in my FD which is almost as fun to drive as a cup but a hell of lot less expensive.

Racing is a big commitment and a cup is over 2k per weekend if everything goes well and when things don't you're probably looking at 10k plus. It's like earning money and then burning it to keep the house warm. In other words unless you have a lots and lots of it you'll eventually be freezing and sleeping in a tent
