Default RS.2 Wheels & Tyres

Hi Guys,

I'd like to order a set of Race wheels for my RS and some R-Spec Rubber.

What do you suggest?

Photos would be awesome as well.

I prefer the look of the 19's however the 18's are cheaper to run and are probably better for racing??

A little torn to be honest.....

Depends on what tires available down under.
Here in US 18" cheaper and maybe better on track, although 19" is fine.

I think BBS belongs on them, like CUP cars, but GMG, HRE, etc is real pretty looking too.
I have some BBS pics and specs, click on my signature..

Thanks Peter,

I agree, however given that I have 3 sets of BBS for the Cup I wanted to get something a little different.

Since you want to stay away from the BBS' I would look into the new Champion's, ( I really like the RS20's) GMG's WC wheels also look fantastic, and HRE Competition CL93's. Those are my four favorite wheels at the moment. Here is a picture of the HRE's

I am actually gravitating to the Oz Superleggera as I like the look and the cost make the decision easier.

That's what I would get. Best bang for buck. I don't know about you, but I don't want to beat up $5-8K wheels at the track. They look great too, IMHO.

For 19s I've looked at OZ Superforgiatas, OZ Ultralegerras and Champion RS20s. I ran Ultralegerras for about a year (~20 actual track days) and discovered that they didn't quite stand up to track use (or may be I just plain suck at avoiding those red-white curbs). Both front rims ended up rather bent, to the point of causing vibration in the steering.

When the time came to get centerlocks I went for Champions. Sharkey shipped mine all the way from CA (I'm in HKG) and it was still price competitive after shipping vs. other forged options.

I reckon these things will look sick when painted red but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Here's how they looked on mine:

I like the OZ's, but that model just looks to much like OEM IMO, not that its a bad thing, but I just want a new look when buying new wheels. Then the Superforgiata is over $1300 per corner!!
