Then why do Porsche offer 3 different compounds for rear pads (comfort, sport and race) to be used with only one compound up front which is presumably RS19...

Is that your advice for the GT cars only? Whats about the Carrera S cars? I've been using yellow/black combo on my Carrera S with good results.

Stock pads are not RS19 nor RS29. GT3 are the ones to not use that combo with - when they were intorduced Porsche specifically stated that the bias was increased along with the all new rear caliper.

Yellows/Blacks are most approprate when used with a track alignment, track tires, and are the best with Cayman, Cayman S, and 996 variations. Remember, many don't like that combination saying it makes the rear end too wiggly...most noted on all GT3s. YMMV and what one likes still remains subjective...

I have PCCBs but my pedal softened after first DE too. I'm having stainless steel lines and Endless fluid put in the car this week, so we'll see.
