Default Is this the harness I want? Schroth GT3

I have a 2011 GT3 with the sport bucket "GT2 seats" and I plan on getting either the GMG RSR or BBI streetcup bar. My concern is regarding the description of this particular harness: "the shoulder belts are shorter to reach the works cages with minimal excess". If the shoulder belts are shorter, will they at least be long enough to be wrapped to either of the above-mentioned bars which have the rear mounts further back on the strut towers as opposed to the more forward rear mounting points of the GMG WC bar that attaches to seat belt anchors?

I wouldn't worry about excess length and better long than short. Make sure to get the Hans compatible shoulder belts they really help to prevent the belts from slipping off.

I'd say "no" because the belt pictured has a subbelt attachments that may require bolting to the floor which is not possible in an NA car without drilling and reinforcing. (I cannot tell for certain from the picture if the mounts are sewn or wrapped (which means they can be removed and the sub belt wrapped around the sub bar, they look like they are wrapped but I cannot be sure)

As for shoulder length, its difficult to say, but the Schroth's from their site will be full length.

I would go to the schroth racing site directly and obtain a Profil II/III setup which is not foreshortened.

You will also require the Brey Krause GT2 sports bucket sub bars for the seats in order to attach a sub belt to those seats R-9032 and R-9034.

Those are the profi IIs. Sub mount strap is not sewn, lap belts sewn with eyelets so no extra bk hardware required for the lap belt (still need the bk sub bars)

The belts are available from Apex Performance, rennlist sponsor, and they give a discount to rennlist members.

For the sub-belts, do you guys use the snap on bracket? Or just tighten them with wrapping brackets?

Out of curiosity why is there only a GT3 version of Profi II and not Profi III? What's the different between II and III?

My understanding is that the "GT3" version of the harnesses are specific because of the lap belt attachments.

I had regular Profi III clip-in in my Turbo with 996 GT3 seats, but some modifications were required as they were not specific for those seats (they were for the standard sport seat).

Basically I have the same question as the OP. If you have the folding buckets and a GMG RSR bar do you want the "GT3" schroth harnesses?

PS those sub bars are only $9,999 each http://www.lpiracing.com/Porsche-Bre...are-c13219.htm

Exactly. This is what my question was. Still not quite sure of the answer though. If I have GT2 folding buckets and GMG RSR bar, is the "GT3" Schroth the right one to buy? Or should I get the Profi-II? I don't care about Hans specific or not because I'm using a DefNDer so 3" or 2" makes no difference.

There are a number of good choices out there available. We offer Sabelt products as our premium line. Both Hans and non-Hans six point systems are available with any three different types of mounting hardware. (Snap on/ bolt on and combination) more information is available at this link below.

PM me for details and RENNLIST member discounts.

PS. Not listed on our site, but available is a GT3 sub mount bar from Porsche that is a direct fit for the GT3 seat. Under $70. part# 99652193390

Yes. GT3 specific basically means a difference in the lap belt attachment. See picture. It means you don't have to buy extra hardware (bk) to attach to seat for lap belt to clip to. Downside is if you drive car on street also you can't just remove (unclip) the lap belts for street driving.
