I would def get black if I were so lucky to have one of these...love how the CF bits blend in. Plus the whole Lord Vader aspect.

Besides the free car, I wonder how much he got paid for the stint...

Doubt the car was free unless his team paid for it... Porsche wouldn't be finding it that hard to move them that they would give them away... They don't need Webber's endorsement. He's a fan of Porsche- if I recall correctly one of his previous cars was a 997 turbo...

The event definitely would have earned him a dollar or two...

Mark Webber definitely a Porsche fan - he did an article (forgot which magazine) on the Carrera GT!

There was an article in the F1 Racing Magazine where he rocketed the car around the streets for one of the editors. Apparently even in something that quick he was extremely at ease and had no problems getting the car to and around its limits. Good for him.

Don't know what he got paid for the event, but he actually paid full price for the car. Didn't even ask for discount. Then again, if you make the kind of money he does, why would you need discount!

I think the cost of the GT2 RS would be little more than a rounding error on his F1 seat paycheck. I doubt he got paid much if at all for a quick stand up in front of a mic with that guy from the Silverstone driving school. But there must have been some phone calls and clearances sought before an F1 driver would be allowed to talk about a brand. It was probably all part of some other PR event -- they make mention of customers winning a ride-along.

His commentary was pretty bland if you ask me. Right at the end, they seem to egg some compliments out of him. His tone of voice is almost apologetic as he says "I love it" ... as if consoling a clinging girlfriend ... : )

Well, we can be pretty sure Weber won't be with Ferrari or McLaren any time soon ... : )

It's always funny how bored (or just mildly amused) F1 drivers look in even the most lairy street cars!

Some of you guys are way out of touch about how much people get compensated for these promo appearances.
