That's interesting.. I thought the 4.0L will NOT be limited like the GT2RS..

Seems Evo Magazine, like many others car sites, are just quoting what the thread here in Rennlist talked about originally.

I don't doubt that Porsche will pump out another GT3 limited edition (and it seems is the trend from PAG nowadays), yet I am not sure it will be a 4.0L engine in it... Probably just some computer tuning and parts bin updates for higher rpm, a cheaper way to squeeze out more hp (another trend from PAG nowadays.)
