Default Bahrain GP

I believe that Bernie Ecclestone's remarks were incredibly naive and really give insight into his greed as he mentioned "tv contracts" regarding one reason the race should be held. In the midst of social protests, military interventions and deaths, I am quite surprised that Bernie and even F1 teams are still considering holding this race. Has F1's existence in such rarified environs made it completely detached from reality? This pinnacle of motorsports (for many) is a celebration of sport.... what message does F1 send to the world and in particular the middle east when it brings it champagne, caviar, luxury boxes in the midst of slayings? I thought FIFA was corrupt, but Sepp Blatter is a saint compared to Bernie....

F1 is a joke. Constructors should leave and start a new F1 reviving the original goals - a race laboratory for car development - not the castrated travesti we now have.

P.S. - I am a proponent of F1 ceasing as an open-wheel car. Open wheel makes no sense any longer. There's room for super-light F1 cars with enclosed wheels for better aero, beyond the LeMans prototypes.

Sorry, bad picture, but you get the Housewifes of bahrain theme..

I think my team mates picked a very actual theme for this weekends race.
We won at Summit last year inthis car, I missed this weekends race ;-(

Yas would be a good alternative, but lots of infrastructure already on the boat to Bahrain. More likely rescheduled to later in the year. It's a cinch that this week's tests will be off, can't imagine going into that locale right now.
