Clogs are not great for heel toe...
I suppose if you drive a 2RS you can wear Ecco's, it's cool!

But it is there and adds to the aural symphony of mechanical delights that is already rich in the GT3/RS.

The visceral experience is there in spades.

If I thought I had much opportunity for H&T at the event I would have brought my Stand21 clogs...

Thank ya Dave! Coming from the man who races Porsches and totes them to the track with a mighty cool trailer (from the future!)

Honestly, I have no idea exactly which country in Europe claims the brand? Netherlands sounded very Ecco'y to me...haha

Welded in roll bar mount plates: He was surprised by this as being an issue. Not installed for non-Clubsport equipped cars as the additional parts/welding adds approx 3 kg.

Well, actually the Clubsport full cage mounting kit weights 1.52 kg (without the welds). Nice try Andreas. I'm sure the plate delete was all about weight. Thank you kindly Polarcharger! I have the install kit at the shop let me weight it. I may have not remembered the weight correctly (3kg). From the conversation I
know he would be equally thrilled with 1.52kg

Is the 1.52kg for front and rear plates?

Hi Pete,

I weighed the CS kit from FVD. It includes four large plates, and four smaller plates with three attached bolts (each). The total was 1.52 kg.

Congratulations again, Brian

Fantastic car! Congrats!

I'd really like to hear about your experiences with pulls in 4th gear. One of the online reviews I read said that the performance in 4th gear was beyond words.

Cool

Pete,

It would be stunning to see that car on the rearview mirror barreling down - getting closer and closer.

Thank you Dr G! I would like to experience the 4th pulls as well, but that is "Go directly to jail" speeds on the street and I need to experiment on track. Going to have to be Thunderhill as Laguna Seca opportunity for 4th pull will be monumentally sphincter-puckering (down into T1 and T2).

T6->T7, Rahal Straight will be where the 2RS shines I would think.

I recall being on track last year with a fine, fast, fellow (70+ yrs old!) who was driving a GT2 and I ALWAYS needed to be checking the rear view for him to come barreling up on me.

Lol Maybe I can catch you if you are in your Smart Car? You are pretty fast in your GT3

The full wrap was finished yesterday by Gilson's Auto Body here in Reno. It looks awesome and the guys had a hell of a time with all the detail work. The carbon pieces are of course now shiny which gives the car a totally different look.
