It is not a good option for you.....they do not have a 18" tire for the new track wheels you are supposed to be buying

He's not buying anything but a nice set of florescent point by gloves.

As already pointed out they are not R compound, however they are a step up from the PS2 probably a little slower than the cups, but much better in the wet and with greater wear characteristics

Get a set, drive em for a month, you don't like em take em back ... As long as you have not tracked them

How do you think they will compare with the Cups? I tracked a couple sets of those. I thought they were decent, but pricey.

Since I'm not setting any new records at Sebring, I might try a set of these out. I always like the PS2's on track, and if these are better....

Dog, maybe the Bridgestone RE11's might be good for you as a true dual purpose street/track tire? Plus they are priced very well. If money was not a problem I have heard all sorts of good things about the Pirelli Trofeo in 19's stock sizes as a dual purpose R-comp track/street tire.

I still think you would be extremely happy with a set of 18" CCW's with 255/35/18 and 315/30/18 R888.

On tirerack's site, the Super sports are about $300-400 less per set.

Unfortunately having that giant piece of rubber dog toy removed from Mr. Chunkapotimus' intestines a couple weeks ago put a big dent in my wheel budget

Mr. Chunky is more important than wheels.

Agreed. He's slowly turning into the million dollar dog, but worth it
