How kind of PCNA. I can tell you that it's definitely a paid option for RHD cars. $4.5k incl. taxes, to be exact, in this crazy place over here...

PAG probably realizes that if you can afford an RS in HK/China, they can easily hit you up for li. 4500, ha, you are lucky. if i ran PAG, i would hit you 2x harder ;-) afterall you dont want to be the ONLY RS with the heavy battery in HK

And to clarify the point, the red door pulls don't come with any type of stitching...red or otherwise. Just a black plastic-like piece with a slot for the red woven fabric pulls. The alcantara arm rest comes standard in .2 RS with 'grey' stitching. To get a deviating stitching color other than 'grey', you have to order it and pay for it extra. z356

They think that Germany will defrost around mid June this year so no worries, ring would be closed!
Gongrats on the car and for keeping it low optioned! If I may ask why the red stitching I haven't seen an interior with it on a 2RS, u had red on the T?
car is blue with gold belts are yellow? sterring wheel has the yellow band for sure, door pulls are yellow? only brakes are red..

I'm curious about that too. I have an '11 and I don't believe mine came with it either (wondering because if it should have come in a box and the dealer pocketed it, I want it!). Any chance it was no cost option but had to be specified (like the cupholders?). I don't think it was listed on my window sticker (not at home right now).

That sounds about right. I had specced out a GT3RS a while ago and was told originally it would be a March-April build and here next April 2011. About a month or 2 ago my dealers rep told him that will more than likely not happen...the GTX's will be in production at that time.

From day one the MY2011 Boxster Spyder battery has been smaller than the ordinary battery Porsche has been using on some of their other models, including the regular Boxster. According to knowledgeable RL member (Rad), it only weighs 35 pounds. But Porsche doesn't specify it as an option on the Spyder - it is the basic 'standard' battery and there is no option code associated with it. Lithium Ion is an option at $1700 for that model too. And for that money, you get both the 'standard' medium-weight battery and the Lithium Ion light-weight. I would have thought that all .2 RS came with the medium-weight battery. If that is not the case, then Porsche has perhaps made the 35 pound medium-weight battery (already used in the Spyder) a no-cost option (#ZLR) on the '11 RS. Can anyone with '10/'11 RS confirm? z356
