I hadn't thought of that -- not a bad idea. An expensive idea, but not bad.
I guess the "all blue" (wheels, etc.) means he has options to easily got and buy black wheels as parts and keep those matching ones for whatever collector's showroom hell this car is doomed to endure.

perhaps the photographer's skill is worse than me (didn't think possible) but it does not look anything like gulf blue.

Fence sitters have no excuse not to stop yakking and start tracking. Lot of value all over the Porsche landscape for those serious to live out their childhood dreams. Sure as hell won't be lying in your death bed wishing you waited longer to realize the dream.

'Meissen' is too light a shade to be the closest thing to 'Gulf', which the factory will not longer agree to do in PTS. 'Meissen' is a 1959 standard 356 color which is often referred to as 'Robin egg blue' in early Porsche circles. I agree with some here that Meissen is not a good match for the current RS. This car could have been help by contrasting black accents in wheels, rear view mirrors, etc, rather than also in 'Meissen'. z356

and that is just the blue ones...
as we tip into 2011, look for ridiculous deals (already happening to some degree) on NOS 2010s...
will the prices firm up when you can no longer get them? possibly but I am guessing firm up at 30-40k off sticker

No kidding! When I decided to finally write the check on my GT3, I was too late to find an allocation for a custom order. I spent the next 3 weeks searching every US dealers web site manually, looking for the best combo of options I was interested in. It was very, VERY painful! My eyes were bloodshot and I was dragging my *** every morning during that time from spending countless hours every night on-line searching for my dream car.
