Who has a deposit on the LE GT3 RS?

Just to add to the rumor mill- it is going to be PDK mated to 4.0L, 495hp. Corner sensing dynamic camber adjustment of front wheels. Sequential shifter mated to a regular six-speed for no lift upshifts but don't need 40 hour rebuilds either. Electronic downshift throttle blips.
They went to Guard for a LSD that actually works and MovIt is doing the brakes.
Oh- forgot the active aero front and rear.

Too many "special" models. Too many "limited" editions.
Who gives a ****?!
Our GT3's/2's & RS' are still quite rare by almost any standard.
Why does anyone care if Porsche tries to make as much $$$ as possible by creating these "special" editions? The more models they offer, the more choices to potential buyers, the less we'll see certain options shoved down our throats (recall the sunroof).
Choices are good.

Yes, true dat. I've considered trading one or both of my Porsches at various times over the last couple of years but haven't had the cajones to pull the trigger yet. Most recently an 11000mile 02 GT2 had my interest but a week of consideration fixed that........car was sold ($79K CDN!!!!). The right car will scream "BUY ME!!!".
My problem is I want ALL of them and that's not going to happen. I also very much like the 993(s) and have decided I want to keep at least one of them so it might be a while before a GT3 joins the old soldier (whichever one gets to stay!) in the garage.
To my original point, I personally get tired of Porsche rolling out a "new model" or "limited edition" every 6 months when they could merely be introduced as updates to or new options for an existing model which, IMHO, these models are. "Limited edition" tags fool nobody.
And to Nizer, apologies if my first response seemed lacking in respect in any way. We're all here because we love these cars, warts and all. (Oops, shouldn't say "wart" here!)

It's worth noting that the only 911's that Porsche marketed as limited editions over the recent past were the Sport Classic (limited to 250) and the GT2 RS (limited to 500). The term "limited edition" is not in the press announcements for the GT3 or GT3 RS. Porsche builds as many of the latter as they estimate the market can reasonably bear and personally I'd rather have it that way because I'm not buying my cars to bubble wrap them.

I'm seriously thinking Scuderia now as NJ-GT has been saying for a while. OT but what is a super low price on an 08 Scud? I see a lot of dealers asking around $225K, what should I offer them?

I have an 11 GT3RS. I was offered a GT2RS but like those above I think 250 is Ferrari money. Scuds are cheap right now (and of course getting cheaper) but they dont drive like a Porsche. I thought about a Speedster too until I found out it was 200k. Again Ferrari money. I have an F430 that I am keeping and enjoy the differences between it and my Porsche.

Dealer relationship is beyond that of needing deposit, but do have right of first refusal if my dealer gets an allocation.

However a road going GT3RSR with a 4 litre engine & upgraded sequential transmission could be on its way. As the track versions retail for £300K ish, I guess the market could accept a road going version at £200k.

A special edition RS is real. What it is we won't know for months.
I'm thinking carbon nano particle blinker fluid myself.
