my favorite is my HJC HX10 carbon fiber helmet. very light and predrilled for HANS. At <$800 not bad on price either.

I made the mistake once on buying one because of price. After instructing all day, my head would hurt. Of course, we now have the 2005 rules helmets for the PCA events and I have been waiting for the 2010 rules helmets to come out. Being comfortable is worth the extra dollars and I don't think that trying to fit one from on line is very pratical.

Arai is for me. They just fit me.

Looks nice...never tried on a HJC before...are they good helmets?

I have a Bell right now but the padding is not removable and even though I try to keep the inside as dry as possible, wipe it out and Lysol it after each day...it is getting worn out and smells sometimes.

I want to get a helmet with durable, removable washable liner and pads.

+1. Maybe get some extra removable liners!
That and no visor, I' never close it, so just a sun visor. Are there any particular helmets that vent better? Even with a balaclava, my helmet is always soaking wet...
I will wait for the PRI show in orlando I am visiting next week, maybe pick one up there. Maybe with some Flatout custom paint..

checkout the Stand21 Porsche Motorsport helmet ... no visor (optional) and custom graphics ... trying to persuade my better 1/2 that this is the GIFT for the man that has everything!

Why are car helmets so white bread plain compared to moto helmets?

To answer the OP question, I would say if you like the like the fit of Arai moto, stick with the brand for auto too.

In UK and Europe you must have the window up!

This Arai GP5-W (wide aperature) fits me perfectly. Painted and customised in Boise, Idaho, USA.
