I made the mistake once on buying one because of price. After instructing all day, my head would hurt. Of course, we now have the 2005 rules helmets for the PCA events and I have been waiting for the 2010 rules helmets to come out. Being comfortable is worth the extra dollars and I don't think that trying to fit one from on line is very pratical.
Arai is for me. They just fit me.

I have a Bell right now but the padding is not removable and even though I try to keep the inside as dry as possible, wipe it out and Lysol it after each day...it is getting worn out and smells sometimes.
I want to get a helmet with durable, removable washable liner and pads.

That and no visor, I' never close it, so just a sun visor. Are there any particular helmets that vent better? Even with a balaclava, my helmet is always soaking wet...
I will wait for the PRI show in orlando I am visiting next week, maybe pick one up there. Maybe with some Flatout custom paint..

To answer the OP question, I would say if you like the like the fit of Arai moto, stick with the brand for auto too.
