I checked too on water and the Red Line water wetter and was told not to do it if car is under warranty or if weather goes below freezing....which it can in Florida sometimes but probably not long enough with a the car in the garage to even worry about it.

I do not winterize my boat and have not had any cracked block issues with it.

I didn't intentionally move this from Deputydog getting his car back on the track. It is always a good feeling to run a car, especially one that time and money was spent on.

Mooty, I hope that the engine was shut off early enough so as not to hurt it. One thing to blow a hose, another to get it too hot and do more damage. Especially a Porsche engine, they are soo expensive to rebuild. (In relation to american v8 engines).

If you are going to not run antifreeze i would seriously consider Pencool 2000 (the old Nalcool 2000) Designed for Diesel engines to prevent corrosion and Cavitation pitting. We used it in all our farm/heavy equipment in Fl.

The car ran great (knock on wood) at Sebring yesterday. Got promoted to instructor while I was there. Scary if you've ever seen me drive

I think I took a hit to my confidence after the whole coolant plug/mass evacuation of fluid/high speed spin through turn 17. Essentially I found myself being a total ***** out there, running way off my pace. Hopefully a couple more days without incident will shake those feelings off.

Overall, it was nice being back behind the wheel again. Even though its a very frightening car to drive fast, it is a hell of a lot of fun. And more importantly, you look cool while you're doing it
WELCOME BACK!

I gave up drafting ... it seemed like there was no concensus on "one letter - lots of signatories" v.s "one letter each" ...

but maybe I'll take a 2nd stab at it tomorrow while on the plane ...
