Default GT3 to GT3RS

I picked up my 2011 RS this weekend. I'm coming from a 2010 GT3 and to be honest after test driving 2 different RS's . One was fully loaded with ceramics and mine which has steel brakes and adaptive seats. I still think the std GT3 is a sharper handling car just because of the wheels and tires. It felt smaller as well which was nice going into curves and bends. Anyways, I had a big gripe regarding the adaptive seats but, daaaammn. They sure do feel nice. Getting in and out of the car is a dream and oh they're heated Silly for an RS but makes the car sooo much more liveable and enjoyable to drive. The 2011's come with the lightweight battery so I figure that makes up for some of the weight of the seats. Overall I'm very happy. Mostly because of the seats so I'm having second thoughts about trading them in for buckets. Anyways, here are some pics of my '10 and the RS.

Could you post some pics of the adaptive seats in the RS? I have never heard of the RS not having the sport buckets, thought this was the only option.

Will post some pics up tonight. They're covered in alcantera as well so they look nice in the car At first I thought they made a mistake and gave me the buckets for a quick second.

I've tracked my E92 M3 and the seats are somewhat similar and it was great. It doesn't hold a candle to the buckets in terms of hold that they provide but I didn't feel like I was falling out of my seat or propping myself up with my leg. I still had a blast regardless in the M3. For me, to feel the RS's steering, clutch, brakes, suspension and hearing the beautiful note of the engine is so much better when I'm comfortable. Not banging my thigh or always having to take off my jacket when driving is huge. And they are infinitely better for passengers. The seats actually make the car feel luxurious inside all the while knowing it looks like a ***** out race car on the outside. I'm really digging it.

Yeah no harness but at least I can put in the $220 fire extinguisher lol. Yes, the 2011's come standard with the lightweight battery. It doesn't show it on the cofigurator but it's a 0 dollar item on all the 2011's I've looked at. Thankfully you can still use a regular battery if it craps out.

Not necessarily. Just recieved my 2011 RS and it was an option unless you mean 2011 GT3's only.

Double check your car. You prolly have it . Here's a spec sheet of one of the cars I was looking at. All the others had the lightweight battery zeroed out as well.

I think I misunderstood the OP, he has the adaptives (and the l/w battery) on his '11 RS ... doh ... sorry for the confusion!

Interesting. I wonder if that means Porsche has suddenly found themselves with too many LW batteries on their hands.

there are 2 lightweight battery codes, the code above comes standard on all GT3 and GT3 RS's, there is 2nd optional lightweight lithium ion battery that is $1700.00
