no, but damn they look the part. i've been having problems with my Cups on DE's. with the understeer I get I just shred the heck out of the centers. when i ran corsa's, they held up better with the understeer. i think i'm done with the cups.

Your car understeers enough to shred the front's? Check your alignment. That doesn't sound right at all. Your car should just be nimble. (BTW - from the factory the alignment is not acceptable for track use)

Still plays with cars.

Shred the centers?? What pressures are you running? Which cups, the real ones or the OEM non R compounds?

I've tried them on my Cayman S racecar. The compound feels similar to the hoosiers but the sidewall is not as stiff, so with similar setup the car feels not as precise and moves around over the tires a lot more when at the limit (specially with the racecar being so stiff on 900#s+ springs).
On sticker goodyears I was a full 1.5secs slower than on sticker hoosiers 9even after making some setup changes), so Im not running those again; but might be a good option for DE if they are more durable and cheaper than Hoosiers.

Alignment and adjusting the front sway bar will help dial out some of the understeer. If your inside and outside temps are the same, you won't get much out of an alignment as that would indicate that your camber is already set right. If your inside temp is lower, you need more camber. I run my front bar full soft and rear bar full hard, which helps quite a bit with dialing it out. Toeing out the front will also get the car to turn in better.

If you are wearing out the centers of the tires and not the inside or outside, you are running too much pressure. You can verify with with a probe type pyrometer. After a session, check the center heat at the cord against the inside and outside. You are probably > 10 deg higher.

Tire pressures-> Alignment-> Sways. All need to work in concert and be correct. I am under the impression a lot of folks play with tire pressure and alignment and neglect the sways which are critical to dialing in the handling you want.
