Very good point - I hate to admit it but Mexico Blue is very a very close match to the Recyling trash cans and Pacific Gas & Electric trucks here in S.F ...

Don't feel bad, our recycling cans are "Speed Yellow" and it makes the neighborhoods look like **** on recycling day when ten million cans are out !

+1 on painting the lips black. With only one painted part in red, it looks like a mistake was made, which of course, the OP said is exactly what happened.
