Your car is beautiful. Riviera is the premium color for a Porsche!

<However, I'm biased...

Think I'd paint the lips. They look like they came off another car and they ran out of time to paint them to match. Looks like a glaring mistake.

i think it looks great with the red lipstick. good one. i think the checkered flags and GT3RS decals in black would make it perfect. its an RS and other than the wing, looks like a standard GT3 to me.

When the car arrived at the dealer, the sales manager (great guy) reviewed all correspondence and order documents to discover that Porsche f*cked up and forgot to paint the lips black as well....
I suspect the factory did not screw up. They just color-coordinated the car, and did not tell you they did. It looks balanced.

It was a mistake by the factory (reference post #12)

However, I have grown used to it and I would rather explain the red lips than try to explain why my front bumper cover has been repainted !

It is an OEM factory f*ckup with documents to back it up so ........ it adds to the history

maybe a cheaper alternative would be to have an accomplished installer apply black matte or CF lookalike film to the lips ... while it would eventually have to be replaced, you dont have to paint the whole thing, and you get "black" ...

Was literally about to type out the ^

Great looking car, love the color/spec! And I wouldn't take a paint gun to the history, either. But I probably would cover it with a matte black wrap. Your original vision was right on...

Larry,

I almost went with with Mexico blue but the name is way tooooooo third world

Riviera Blue reminds me of Monaco which is much more HIP than anything south of the Rio Grande

Call me if you're near Baltimore and you can see/drive the "Red" lips in person.

They'll grow on you !

Very good point - I hate to admit it but Mexico Blue is very a very close match to the Recyling trash cans and Pacific Gas & Electric trucks here in S.F ... so not that chic really! ...

perhaps a good nickname for your beautiful new ride would be "hotlips"

IMHO - you have a perfectly matched color combination. I wouldn't change a thing!
