Default Brake Ducts - how important?

my front brake ducts (air scoops for the brakes) are gone, they got torn off.

How important are they? do they really help cool the brakes?

Im going to replace them but i feel like they will get torn off again.

Any recommendations where to buy them for a good price?

they are important ... esp if PCCB ... suncoast, sunset imports, TRG or FVD will have them ... as I recall they are not *that* expensive ... if you tore them off ... did you do any other damage?

p.s
they are esp important on the rears as well ...

If you don't track the car, I think you'll be fine without them.

try driving with PASM in sport mode ... if you are compressing the suspension enough to tear off the ducts then maybe you need the suspension to be stiffer ... also you should tie wrap them as suggested

I recall tearing off an entire cup front splitter once while driving my '04 GT3 at 120+ on a Scottish A road ... very impressive to watch the remnants in the rear mirror dance down to road behind me ...

wrong lane chase was brilliant and so realistic. I wonder who was driving .. and to stay on topic I guess they had brake ducts because they are really important for our cars and fast driving.
And to quote Sam when Vincent asked him: "Under the bridge, by the river, how did you know it was an ambush?"
Sam replied : "When ever there is any doubt, there is no doubt. That is the first thing they teach you."

wow the CIA know about the importance of brake ducts!!!

honestly bringing also staying on topic, if you think about the issues with rear cooling that the 997 had prior to the ducts (albeit without the bias and traction control issue) I think it is important to maximize front brake cooling.
