Default Brake sqealing in 2007 GT3

I bought my 07 GT3 with 5k miles from a reputable Porsche dealer in my area in August. Started noticing heavy brake sqealing-usually after warmed up and when in town stop and go driving. I do not have ceramic brakes and after trying to fix the problem with no success the dealer installed new front rotors and pads which they thought would fix the problem. Still having the same problem and after they talked to the Porsche rep they say this is normal and nothing that can be done. When the Porsche rep is in the area next month he will inspect for me so as of now I am waiting for that. I do understand that the GT3 may have some brake squealing, but I really find it hard to believe that the amount of squealing I am having is normal. Any thoughts??

1. are the pads oem or track pads, track pads squeal more
2. are the anti squeal spider round thingy still in the caliper? those help with noise reduction
3. re-bed the pads.

Normal - mine, at times, sounds like a garbage truck. They tend to be quiet after a good wash, but it eventually comes back.

It's normal.

If the car does not squeel, leak a few drops and blows blue smoke every 3rd start they sold you a fake.

It is "normal" for a GT3

I've had the same problem. I found that the brakes won't squeal on the track and will eventually squeal on the street. To get rid of the vibration, just do a "bed in" process again -- this seems to "resurface" the rotrs with uniform pad material and gets rid of the high frequency vibrations.

Normal! The squealing never stopped, it's a kind of warning for pedestrians when you are approaching junctions...

Warm up brakes, then do some very aggressive stops. Works for me for a few weeks or so.

Default brake squeal

Agree with all of the above. The brakes will squeal worse when the pads are worn down a bit. Remedy is to perform a few successive stops 60-25 mph, 8 to 10 times in a minute. Then let the brakes cool.

Bet you could do it in a Z06 though - stay in 1st the whole time.

I can honestly say I have never had a problem with my brakes making noise and I have over 45K on my GT3! It must have something to do with where I live!!
