To go back and answer your question about the CAT delete option. Whenever you can reduce the backpressure from the combustion chamber you will alway increase power. Yes, we know that having "some" backpressure is good. Dumping the CAT's for the race track is win-win option. Heat is not retained, the built up pressure in the combustion chamber freely moves out the headers and out thru your mufflers.
