I saw this scene about once a week at the intersection of California and Jones when I kept a car at the Masonic Temple. Occasionally limos, but usually TOUR BUSES.
I've been by that corner many times. SF streets are tricky, clutch burners for sure.
Nah, applying the heel-toe technique to hill launches can minimize that. Got 155,000 miles out of the original clutch in a car I bought with 84,000 miles while living in Tenderknob/Upper Loin Heights. That said, I smelled me a lot of clutch linings in those days
And watching women (people?) walk down those hills in high heels was always fascinating, too...
