six 996gt3, none had any leaks
two .1GT3, non leaked
two .1RS, both leaked
current .2RS, no leaks
some cars were rarely driven.
some were driven like bat out of hell.
which one leaked had NO coordination of how the car was/is driven.
i dont really care about it, just providing datapoints.

Mine doesn't appear to leak, but about 1/4 of a quart of oil gets consumed in 5k miles. Nothing like my old e39 M5 - a quart every 1000 miles. OMFG.

Well, bad news I'm afraid. It seems that the leak is from a line/tube. Unfortunately, where it's leaking is inaccessible and therefore the engine needs to come out to fix it. To make matters worse, the line is on back order, could be weeks.
To say I'm furious is a vast under statement. Think a formal complaint to Porsche will accomplish anything?

Sorry to hear that yellowmz3... Obviously a faulty component that got missed on engine assembly... engine out (whilst not great emotionally so soon after delivery) is no biggy but the wait sure sux.... A complaint is definitely warranted especially if it will get you on the road sooner...

See, I would think engine out with the active engine mounts may be a biggie. I'm gonna really give PCNA some grief over this. 500 miles on a 150K car and the engine needs to come out?
