Pete,
Congrats, it was good to finally meet a few of the Rennlist folks in person. Thanks for dropping by at LS and saying hello.
The car looks great, hopefully you have a good afternoon on Sunday at LS

That's the way to do it Savy! Good for you for getting back at it again and enjoying the car. Love that color too!

Thanks to all for the kind comments! Great to meet many folks at the track, thanks for coming by to say hello (you know who you are)
Mike, Yeah, that was an accidental "bonus", the body shop didn't know better and painted the splitter. It does look good. Now I need to paint the black side mouldings as well.
Good eye! In order to get the car out the door and on the road we left some bits and pieces to do upon return. Somebody, (me) forgot to order the bumper flares and they did not arrive in time.
Mooty was there and his new track car looks fantastic! Very nicely done, and he was fast on the track as well.
Hey Russ- great to meet you in person. You are a fast rascal on track as well. Your new 2011 red GT3 looks awesome! It was good to meet the entire Canadian Contingent and hope to see you all again soon. Never enough time at the track to chat at length.
Matt! Under hard braking the car is ROCK SOLID. No rear end dance AT ALL. Hugely noticible difference. But need to put more rear bar into it as understeer was an issue, likely induced by the new, functional, LSD.
On corner exit there was certainly no problem getting the power down. Squat and go. GT3 owners- your car deserves a Guard LSD!
Overall for the size of the project, the car was very good. Still 10-15 issues to clear up and fix and finish. A bad end to the weekend was a lubrication fluid leak, I think it is gearbox lube leaking from somewhere. Hopefully an axle flange seal or o-ring. Did not happen on track, but on driving to the hotel to pick up my wife at lunchtime. Had the car flatbedded to local Porsche for diagnosis.
Those of you seeking a side view pic, I think CarreraGT took a few as it was going on the towtruck Ah- here I found one...
We rented a car and drove home. Will figure out a plan after I know what happened.
Oh- the new Akropovic sounds incredible. Shrieks like a banshee. A Laguna it'll hit 106db, so I had to run with the solenoid keeping the flaps closed which gives me a 93db and they let me fly with that.
I have mixed emotions regarding the red centerlocks, personally I think the OE black might look better. Didn't see these installed until time to pick up the car and hit the road.
