Default Mas Du Clos, worth a visit!

For you European rennlisters I can strongly advise a visit to the beautiful privately owned racetrack "Le Mas Du Clos" not too far from Clermont Ferrand in France. I went there last week and the track is simply amazing, contains sections where one can really exploit the horsepower of a GT3, some corners where you need big ***** to go really fast and a section which is quite slow and very technical.

A small vid from the end of the day (with my shot Cups )

enjoy!

(dunno if it is off-topic in this section of the forum. If it is please show me where to put it as i didn't find a more suitable subform)

What an amazing track! Fast sections and some really technical sections, looks recently repaved too. If only I had my GT3 when I was living in London.

Killer fun track! thanks for sharing this. That track has some serious banking! I would love to do a track walk on that course to see just how much banking there is!

Will you be back there? Who owns the track? How did you get onto the track?

Wow. Nice! And empty and with barriers 1 meter from the wheel. I like.

Here a video made by a friend of mine during the same trackday

Yes I will (I did the track quite a few times on my motorcycle the last couple of years).

Who owns the track:
this man

The track is in his backyard
He also owns one of the biggest collections of Ferraris.
An extract of his collection:
166 F2 chassis n° 006C
375 MM chassis n° 368 AM
375 + chassis n° 394 AM
290 MM chassis n° 626
335 S chassis n° 674
250 TR 58 chassis n° 728 TR
250 GT SWB chassis n° 2937 GT
275 P chassis n° 816
250 GTO 64 chassis n° 5573 GT
330 P chassis n° 822
330 P4 chassis n ° 860
312 P chassis n° 870
312 B chassis n° 001
312 PB chassis n ° 884
512 BBi chassis n ° 21257
F50 chassis n ° 103488
550 Maranello n ° 108746

Another friend of mine organised a trackday for cars last monday. You can just rent the track for a day, like any other racetrack.

How Bad *** is that. You own a stack of Ferraris with your own fantastic track to run them! Now that's some serious stuff!

Thanks for sharing your experience! Very little chance I will ever get there, but cool to know about it anyway!

That track looks incredible! I'd love to visit, rent a car, and drive it one day.

Pierre Bardinon said,”If I could keep one,it would be this one.”
The car has several GT class wins to its credit. He’s talking about his Ferrari 250 GTO 64 Number 5573 GT,the collector’s favorite, above even his Ferrari 330 P4.

Spent a day there this spring, awesome track!

The owner's Ferrari museum is located at the end of a braking zone behind a somewhat flimsy looking tire wall. I had visions of overcooking it in that corner and gaining entry to his private museum )

What a stunning track. So how does one get to drive it?

Found this: http://www.grandstandmotorsports.co....-circuits.html

I see an extended European vacation on the horizon...

Nice track nice movie.

PS question.

I have 997 GT3 Mk2 also. But when the gearbox it s getting real hot after a few laps it s rattling do you have the same on yours when driven on track.
