Yeah I know...all about Ferrari...nothing but Ferrari. We did a drum set for him in Ferrari Red and we hand did the yellow Ferrari shield on each drum. They Nick has a plastic molded case company do red molded cases with the Ferrari shield on each case....totally sick.

I agree with you guys and thanks for the comments but it's Jim (carrering) that deserves the credit, not me, as this is his excellent work. I just found the pics.

Mica, the image below should help.

A few other images I found:

Default ICE Blue - '76 color code 360

This was the display car for the '76 New York Auto Show.

To my knowledge, this is the only Ice Blue example of the 530 US models built for '76.

Leather is "Electric Blue" ........... very seventies !

People usually mistake this color for Gulf Blue but it is a few shades lighter.

Well spotted. That's my car pulling out of the ED petrol station at the Nurburgring. I'd picked the car up from Stuttgart the previous day (hence the transport plates).

Very pleased with the colour; as you correctly say it is Mexico (ever so slightly darker in tone than Riviera). In pictures, the colour is very exposure dependent.

Here are a couple more pics, including one on the Ring itself (in rather wet weather!).

Cheers

Congrats Stefan! You did the exact right thing in breaking in your RS, which is the best looking .2 I've seen so far -- pick her up at the factory & straight to the 'Ring...in the wet no less. How did it feel?

Updating this thread with latest info:

Porsche denied my friend's request for PTS Gulf Blue, in addition to another shade of light non-metallic blue, both because of "paint quality issues."

Sounds like a lame excuse to me. If they can paint a light gray like the color on the Sport Classic, why cannot they add a little blue, while keeping the paint of sufficiently high quality? He will very happy with the final chosen color...but I am just wondering if Porsche's explanation has any validity?

By "quality" they meant "quality of profitability" or "quality of customer" not just literally "paint quality." Still, it's their car and their paint robot, so they can decline an order and the customer can decline to proceed in another color.
