Default time for annual journey in RS to Targa Newf...

Once again I find myself heading east in an RS for the Sept Targa Newfoundland.
(last year it was from California in RS # 2569)

This year it is in RS #2356 starting from Vancouver B.C. Canada.

I will be traveling through Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and then finally Ontario Canada where a car carrier takes it the rest of the way to Newfoundland.
This will be a 7 day journey on full track set-up alignment and almost bald Toyo R888 tires!
(New tires await me in Newfoundland)

If i do not encounter any problems along the way it shall be another successful trip. -fingers crossed-

Have a safe trip Tom and good luck at Targa! Hopefully the weather is better for you this year. I'll make sure your other RS is exercised regularly....if Bernie doesn't beat me to it.

Fantastic! I'm pleased to hear you'll be making the journey again this year. It's always a thrill seeing these cars driven and campaigned properly.

Damn has it been in a year already? I remember when you rolled through Long Beach thinking that was a trip!

Let some air down to take the load off the inside shoulder. Carry a nylon repair kit and a six pack of "fix-o-flat" ... I speak from experience ... : )

Good luck -- looking forward to your photos along the way ... last year was a great thread.

Do be careful on those tires. It is thunderstorm alley around these parts in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin this time of year. If you have any problems or need an oil change, talk to the guys at Carousel Porsche in Minneapolis, MN.....they have been great to work with on a '11 gt3. Good luck.

I like that photo! I keep my side view mirrors angled a little too inward because I only use them to look at the winglets.
