Default Pulled the trigger on a new 2011 GT3 and thanks..>

Well, finally did it. Getting it delivered at the end of Sept! Very excited and thanks to all who helped a couple months back.

GT Silver
Engine Mounts
Couple of small options, but essentially almost stock.

Two quick questions please.

1. I saw a picture of red center lock wheels. Looks tremendous. This is not an option that I saw. Is it aftermarket? Anyone know where and how much please.

2. Need to buy the trickle battery charger as I will leave it for a few weeks at a time. Saw a good deal on the Porsche one and thought about getting it after reading some comments.
Is it ssafe to have it plugged in 24hrs/7 days per week while I am away for 2-3 weeks at a time? Also, is it possible to not use the window and slide through the door as I DONT want to leave the window cracked.

Thanks again for all your help and advice. I cant wait to drive this beast!

Kind regards...

The older Porsche battery maintainer (still available) has a very thin wire that I would not mind passing through the bottom of the door and shutting the door. The new one has a much thicker wire that if left long will probably leave a permanent imprint on the rubber insulation strip.

Congrats! For the red center lock (they now came in black color too), they are not exactly cheap yet we can buy them from dealers online, like...

Red ($489.90):

Black ($678.92):

I think there is a gap in the rubber strip specifically for the cable of the Porsche charger to pass.

Congrats serpico! Looks like we will have twins coming over on the boat, possibly at the same time. My planned production date is 9/2/10 and the dealer said it will likely get here end of Sept. or early October. GT silver it is.......with mounts, lift, thicker wheel, and nav. Now we are BOTH waiting......arrrgh! But at least we got an allocated car, right?

I have the "Battery Tender" brand and could not be happier! It has a short adapter that is hard-wired into the battery terminals and has a plug that you connect and disconnect under the front hood. They offer varying extension cord lengths so that the charging unit can sit pretty much anywhere in your garage and still be connected to your car. The hood can be shut and the car locked without compressing any rubber seals. I leave it plugged in for months and have never had a battery or electrical problem. Have used this brand for 6 + years on three cars and a boat. It is very convenient to use. I highly recommend this brand.

GT silver is nice and the red centerlocks make it pop. should match the red calipers on OP's very well too.
OT, is that your garage? very nice modern looking and industrial.

Default What a great shot of the GT SIlver with Red Locks!..>

Wow that looks amazing, thanks for sending. And thanks for the info on where to buy them, much appreciated.

Had to pay the $3140.00 for the GT Silver. Arctic is no longer available and I really prefer the look of Silver, so I was left with little choice.

To quote Tom Petty..."the waiting is the hardest part"...End of Sept, early Oct seems like a million years away....

Thanks everyone...
