Question GT2 RS

So, who's buying a GT2 RS?

It's only $245k to start!

i don´t know. Was at my trusted dealer yesterday to finalise the financials of my GT3 RS order.

He told me he will get one 2RS and has 4 (very good long term) customers who absolutely WANT and think MUST have it (and can afford it).

so i guess he would be interested in as many as possible good reasons NOT to buy one to talk them out of their dream.

dertub, you need one of these bad boys.

It would be the crown jewel of your "collection".

Really it would be remiss for you NOT to get one. GO FOR IT!!

way out of my league.

If you get one however, you probably will need a bigger garage. Perhaps sell one of the other GT3s?

overpriced 997 GT2. I would rather pick up a 2008 GT2 for less than 1/2 the price, a few affordable upgrades would make it plenty faster than a GT2 RS, the coins saved could buy a 2010 GT3 RS.

Yes, the 2011 GT2 RS will be very special, until Porsche launches the 998 GT2 and later 998 GT2 RS.

I fully agree with Rad and the 998 GT2 will have PDK and be much faster than the 997 GT2 RS.

But if the next (991) GT2 has PDK, that means it won't have Metzger engine (or its race-proven Dry-Sump system) - always a trade-off...

Rad is a very smart man.
other than nostalgia, there are no "special" porcsches. well.... let me put it more correctly, there had been special porsches, but there will always be the next special porsche and the next special porsches.
