I'll start by saying that I'm a driver not a collector. Hate to part with 07, but reality is that I barely drove it. The track-prepped 996 3 got all the track time.

Is the 11 so much better than the 07 that the 07 will just sit?

the .2RS is going to make you think there is something wrong or missing with the .1RS.

A. ditch the 996 and 997 for the 997.2

B. ditch the 996 and transform 997.1 into your track prepped car.



997.1 market is struggling right now. So you may not want to sell it nor keep it.

I agree as well, but the RS.2 is far better then the RS.1 which really isn't that much better then the 6

I'd say sell the RS.1

996 to 997 is bigger jump then 997.1 to 997.2

But yes, with a 997.2 in the driveway a 997.1 will collect dust.

The 996 3 is a keeper. Lots of guys with 996 GT3, so it's like its own class at the club track days. The .1 is good looking, especially with the classic stripes as opposed to the mod look on the .2.

I hate maintaining cars that sit. Oil changes at 200 mile intervals and stuff like that. Also, there are a bunch of identical .1's in my area. One is just up the street.

The "gift" would be taxable. With the rates going up, could cost you as much as a Boxster.

.2 is much better than .1, but i am not sure it justifies losing so much $ on .1 the move to .2
i dont know why i sold my .1, but if i had it still, i wont buy .2

either one is fine, but i wont get both. if you collect then fine, but you aren't. i can't see driving both.

keep the 6. i have a serious hate/love relationship with 6. it is very different than .1 or .2

i say keep 6 and then EITHER keep .1 or trade .2 dont keep both, unless you collect.
