Congrats on the GT2 buy. You will love the car at the track!
There's nothing else like it.

I saw that GT2 at the Memphis dealership a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful car, has to be incredible at the track! Glad to see you are taking it to its "natural habitat" ... it will be happier there!

Guys, I looked for our GT2 for a year. My observation on this situation was simple. The good dealers out there sold their cars, their allotments for msrp. Done deal.

The capitalist dealers had over priced these cars as much as 40 and 50k over msrp and so they sat on their lots. We bought our car last august and there were still 12 new cars out there in the system, 6 were black on black, which most people either love or hate.

We bought ours with 250 miles on it. It sat in a garage for a while then on a car lot because it was over priced.

Congrats to the one that just bought it. There are some mods out there that take it to 600 hp. Wouldnt that be fun.

Default capitalist?

Re: "The capitalist dealers had over priced these cars as much as 40 and 50k over msrp and so they sat on their lots." Hey StuJelly, you sound like Hugo Chavez, Michael Moore...or our current president. Clarification: All dealers in our system are capitalists, including those wise enough to sell at MSRP. That is good. There are greedy, idiotic dealers and there are wise, prudent dealers. But all are capitalists. The greedy, idiotic dealers just bet wrong and didn't understand that the market for the '08 gt2 was different than for the '07 gt3 RS or sensed that the timing was perhaps all wrong for that model (the economic boom had already ended). But our great capitalist system has a way to deal with these greedy, idiotic dealers. If they keep up this non-productive behaviour, they will soon be failed dealers and drop entirely from the capitalist camp. So Comrade, that is how our capitalist society weed out the weak so that the system survives & prospers. Saludos, z356

Actually, Pat Williams racing in Memphis will be modifying this car in the near future, after it has been run on the track a couple of times in stock form and slicks. Once they get it, the cats will be removed and a new chip will be installed. I am not dead certain on the numbers, but I think it will bump it up to 625hp and 615ft./lbs. torque - will have to double check on the numbers. This mod was done on a 997 TT and it screams - the GT2 will scream even more.

Yes, it will be fun!

Great Car, you will love it!

The tune will make it that much better..nothing like quicker responce and 100lb more torque!

Few mods and it's even more of a monster. I've only done GIAC and GMG Exhaust and it's a huge difference.

Sweet...what kind of numbers does your setup produce, if it has been dynoed?

There is so much to consider when doing a tune, more than dyno #'s!
It's even more important if your lapping it for long periods of time.
Do some homework with the search tool.

My car puts down the power even when it's hot outside!

Yep, I haven't been dyno'd, now that I'm getting more into the tracking I'll prolly need an IC.

No disrespect intended. I'm no Hugo Chavez, Michael Moore...or a bama lover. I just used a poor choice of words, sorry about that. I like yours better, greedy and idiotic is a better choice I was just trying to be nice.
