Default Possibly looking for RS

I'm a long time lurker.... first post !!

I sold my .1 GT3 last year....starting to miss it... starting to entertain the idea of finding an RS. I've seen what's available in the usual spots...maybe someone here knows of something under the radar ? Prefer white or orange ( possibly silver) with as minimal options as possible...low miles would be cool too...

I have a mint condition Ford GT with 1400 miles I'd consider trading.

Thanks guys Ted

Ted,

keep your GT.
The value has been holding strong and they are worth keeping.

clean RS can be had for good deals thus best to buy it cash with no trades etc...

For a good RS, look at AdamS on rennlist.

it is ORANGE, price is right , condition is good and has the right options!
(no sport chrono or color stitching on the dash etc... just right!)

You may get a "fellow rennlister" discount too

currently on ebay

sdq7...pm sent.

You can find a very high mileage Red car for 125-130 ish...
Even the salvage title cars are selling well above 100K.

There's a guy in TX that repairs and sells salvage GT's... proceed with caution..

i know, prices are holding strong.

you should keep you GT. You can find a RS for a tick under 100k.

meantime i will have to wait a few more years until i can find a 100k driver.

For the GT, it sounds like a keeper. As a counter-point to other posts here, while I've been looking for a dealer to supply an F250, I've listened to the lament even the GT40 ( ... right ... it's not a "GT40" ... but anyway ...) is not the prized collector they were hoping. I think the history of these rare cars suggest it will return to favor just as soon as everyone is convinced it's not worth anything. : )

As for the RS. Go for it. It's a helluva of a buyer's market. And again, just as soon as everyone is convinced they're not worth a damn, the market will jack-knife a reversal and you won't be able to get one for love nor money -- the allocations will be gone, the last build slots will be frozen and the finite supply dictates the escalation of price in response to demand. Double-dip recession is a clear and present danger, there's a third wave of five or any number of other explanations coming from high profile experts talking about currency or interest rates or inflation -- not one of whom has been right about any of the giant moves in the last 24-36 months, so I don't expect any of them to be right now or any time it really matters. So damn the torpedoes and get the RS. I don't see how it can be a bad decision.
