Default Finally!

Finally got my car last night 3 full weeks after the boat got to Houston with it. Not sure what the delay was, but well worth the wait.

First impressions:

1) I have no idea why so many consider this car to be rough and loud. Seemed quite tame to me, considering its capabilities. The only thing I can think of that was a bit loud was the brakes (squealing), but that is to be expected and a small price to pay for this kind of stopping power.

2) The performance of this car has far exceeded my expectations. I haven't really jumped on it much, just a few bursts here and there, but man this thing is eager to please. What a wonderful piece of engineering!

3) The SPP wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's actually just fine cruising down the highway. I will still upgrade it with some Focal separates front and back and probably upgrade the amp, but not bad if you ask me.

4) Definately glad I chose the front axle lift. This is one low riding machine and I would be in trouble without it on my own driveway.

Anyway, next up is tint, full body wrap in Premium film, Passport 9500ci, sound upgrade, Lithium battery, and exhaust. More pics later.

You probably posted before I got the pic up there. Forgot to attach it. Just a plain ol' GT3 for me. I wanted something that could be used as a daily driver, and you guys were scaring me enough with all the talk about the GT3 being harsh hehe. RS next time, now that I see this one is not rough at all!

Congrats!!! Looks just like mine.

Let us know what you do with the stereo. I also have SPP but would like a little more pop. It's not that bad though.

What about the Valentine. I love mine.

I've been using the same V1 that I bought back in 2001 in the last 6 cars. It has been a great detector. I just thought it was time to move on to something newer, and thought the GPS/Laser shifter technology sounded like it was worth trying.

Congrats! Can't go wrong with white.
One question about the lift, can it be engaged while driving, or do you have to stop to raise the front?

the brake squeal should stop after a couple hard stops, I had a similar thing going on with mine. Not sure if theres a difference because I had ceramics but I made like 3-5 had stops from about 60 and then let them brakes cool off and it went away. Not sure if this will work for you but you never know.

Nose lift can be engaged whilst moving but only up to roughly 30mph, takes about 4 seconds to rise fully.

The word "lift" on the centre dial signifies the raised position as well as a light illuminating on the nose lift button.

Takes about 2 seconds to lower back down manually or will automatically lower when you hit the 30mph mark. The "lift" sign disappears off the centre dial and the light on the switch goes off.

If left in raised position when you park, sometimes it'll still be raised when you start her back up.

Approached some very large speed ramps yesterday and cleared them no problem, would it!

Thanks for the description of the "lift"! I have ordered it, but was not sure how it works...

Congrats on the new ride, you've made the right choice! (no bias at all, lol).

Lift is a lifesaver for me as well, I know the lips are cheap to replace, but I'd rather be able to clear stuff without feeling like I'm damaging my own baby

White will be a great canvas for your wrap. Something a la GT3 R Hybrid perhaps?
Cheers.
