talking about trackcar bargains, 996GT3's are +/ $50K, $110K new in 04/05.

I figure it will be 4 years before the next 991 RS will arrive, just look at what an '05 996GT3 is worth now, similar price for 2007-2011RS when the new ones have arrived in 2015 witha small premium for the 2010-2011.

What were the production numbers of the 996GT3? There was no RS.. There will be +/- 750 RS 07-08-10-11 total?

a very accurate prediction for the future values indeed. And the 996 truely is a bargin for a track oriented car right now! Just think in 5 years time.

essentially, 997.1 and 997.2 RS cars in 5-8 years will be like the 964 RS americas we see at the track today with simular values perhaps?

Yes, the only way they won't drop as much is if the next RS is a fat pig, with many electronic nanies, PDK and they kill the GT1 engine...

I dream it will be even more spcialized and differentiated from the regular 911 with a GT1 based 8 cylinder, or Ruff V8 that is a mid engine but looks like a 911 coming in at at less then 3000lbs with an integrated roll bar

u r right.
i didnt complete my thought when i posted. i always use tarret rear toe linx WITH the locking plates. this way, you have peace of mind.

I have both cars and there is a significant difference beteween them The RS.2 is way better on track and brilliant at very high speed.

It's been a very frustrating couple of years without local dealer and crappy suport from Traqmate.
The software is very counter intuitive, that's fine when it comes with good manuals and good support, but it does not.

I know found a good dealer, an hours drive away who has been helping me and I might be OK. I tried upgrading the system last week and as a results I lost all data again and still had to spend an afternoon with my dealer to get it working again.

The data and the results when it works looks cool when I post my laps, so people ask me what it is, or figure it out and they might believe it is easy to work with and I just want to warn everyone about Traqmate. It can work OK, but you need to be very techical or have a good dealer.

Don't try this at home!
