Track performance .1 RS vs .2 GT3
I know this has probably been discussed. But a .2 GT3 with more hp and dynamic engine mounts. Price being equal. Which one? Let's say they are both the same color with similar interior options.

.2 > .1 rs on track
.1 RS looks and resells better
9 out of 10 drivers cannot exploit either to full capability (myself included)... go with what you prefer IMHO

No it hasnt only 2 RS has them.
However the 2 GT3 is the better car in all aspects, the man behind all GT series Andreas Preuninger said that their target was to make a better GT3 in every field putting as benchmark the 1RS.
I say they did, as they do every time they show us a newer version but even so an RS is always an RS. You ll have a hard time taking advantage of the newer cars charisma versus the thrill of owning an RS.
Its always tough to decide between such things. Really.

GT3 is not RS
RS has j. lo butt, that's worth at least 10k premium for me.
1RS has the cool orange and horny green colors
RS wing looks the business, GT3 wing looks funky.
but in ALL technical aspects, the newer car is better.
of course, one can always formulate his own metrics in evaluating his next toy. and none of the metrics need to make any sense.

Bottom line is there is only one way to make the decision "easy" and reconcile the .2's performance improvements and the "owning and RS". Problem is, it's no longer "price being equal", it's called the .2 RS... sorry.
The only downside is that you can't get the "cool orange and horny green".

Porsche marketers suck all of us into this every time. Every new model is incrementally better than the prior version and compared side by side the newer one is always better. In the real would though the difference remains incremental. Given equal drivers (rare) the newer car will always be faster on the track; you just need to decide whether the incremental improvements are worth the price difference.
Typically the "RS" models retain value better but that remains to be seen for the future with so many being produced....
