I think that it is the amazing feeling of confidence that you get while driving the RS II...no jitterness..very humble and refined road manners and the ability to stick to the black top as if it had claws is what some are reffering to as night and day....They are both on top of the pedestal, very powerful and incredible vehicles however the new one goes the extra mile

i find the 996 GT3 compared to 997RS night and day.
i also find the GT3RS and GT2 to be night and day.

997.1-997.2 however is not as much of an extreme jump.

still i want one..... but not enough to move from 997.1..... (yet)

just not a big enough difference.

Night and day is a bit of a stretch. 12 noon and 2 PM difference perhaps. 996 GT3 drives super well and it was not a night and day difference compare with 997 RS IMHO. My highly modded RS is a morning to afternoon difference compare with stock 7.1 RS

What is your impression mooty?

he's out driving obviously!

I think the gearing difference is the biggest deal, as well as the motor mounts.

There is always an exception to the rules and that would be the very well needed project car of yours

So, 1:36 flat at Laguna Seca on stock tires (or 1:32.5 on Hoosiers)? Overbeck lapped a bone stock 997.1 GT3 RS on stock tires at 1:38.5, IIRC. Max Angelelli did a 1:39.5 in the 997.1 GT3.

i know i have done 1:39 in RS with lift going up hill, but do not remember if it was on R888, RA1 or mpsc. probably toyo's as i hate mpsc.

not sure i am good enough to wheel the .2 to 1:36 flat and for sure not 1:32, regardless what tires i am on. but if i had some of those things we smoke in berkeley.... there may be a slight chance ;-)

Yeah, I might as well call my ride a 7.18 RS

It's legal now and you don't need to buy it off the street. I can write you a prescription and let's just call it "stress reliever" as the medical need

whatever it takes.
always argue with wife.
for pro athlete i think perf enhancing drug should be legalized. i am not interested in watching human performance, that's boring. i want to see superhuman. 100m in 5 seconds. finish tour de france in 2 days.

but i am insane.

i have many OTHER insane ideas that i cannot disclose publicly, unless of course they build a few tracks in county jail.
