Default fuel mileage new 3.8l RS

I wanted to know about what is the fuel mileage of your RS ...
Mine drinks about 14l per 100km in 6th at 140 km / h. ..
and 40/45 l on tracks !

what about yours ?

( last GT3 mk1, it was 10/11l at 140 km/h and 30/35 l on tracks )
thanks

That's sounds a little high to me on the Highway driving side of things.

I have not paid close attention to exact numbers yet, but assuming the tank is the same size it does use a bit more in everyday traffic and also on track. I'd say 10-15% more.

On track mine sucks it down for sure, best I recall 8-9mpg.

I think steady throttle on highway at 75mph it is about 18mpg. The numerically low gearing and big wing kills mileage.

Wow, 14L per 100km at 140 kph is really high. My 996 RS does < 10. I guess the bigger engine, extra aero and, mostly, the lower gearing add up. How many kms on your engine? It may improve a bit with age.

I get about 420km on the 63L tank in mixed city/highway driving (15L/100km). I've gone >600km with only highway driving @ 120-125km/h (~10L/100km). I have data from the track on fuel consumption and will dig that out to see what it is.

Yours is a GT3, right, not RS? It's the aero and the gearing on the 10 RS that hurts highway fuel consumption.

I have an MK2 GT3. Accoding to the car, I get an averege of 11-12 miles per gallon. I don't get 200 miles per tank out of this car; probably more like 150 miles per tank. If I reset it, while driving on the highway an stay around 3k-4k rpms, I get 16-18 miles per gallon. However, I never like to drive the car at a steady rpm, and as soon as I floor it, it drops to the 11-12 miles per gallon

At the track, it's around 8-10 miles per gallon....

I had a few glasses of wine before replying! Yes, I do indeed only have a GT3, and a 0.1 version at that, so please disregard my reply.

Trip computer indicated 21.8mpg steady cruise at 75mph average on hilly interstate up to VT. Dropped average to 20.4 when I started periodically downshifting and running it up to 90-100 and back in order to vary the revs (only have about 550mi on odometer). Overall, been averaging 16-17 mixed highway and secondary when not getting on it hard.

But, if it's anything like my 535i the computer overstates by 1mpg or so verses reality. Either way, better than I expected and suspect it'll improve as engine loosens up. I didn't bother checking what it was returning up and down RT17 over Applachian Gap

never bothered checking fuel mileage, but on the same highway trip, RS used about 30 to 40% more fuel than the club coupe, but not as much as the Cayenne Turbo.
